Play on the green
Club members may play at any time, but please consult the events timetable in The Locker Room and adhere to the Members’ Code of Conduct.
Visitors
All bowls players of all standards are welcome to join us and play on the Green nearest the Lady Alice Swing Park.
Club House Opening Times are:
Monday to Thursday 6 pm till Midnight
Fri – Sun 1 pm till Midnight
A small donation of £3 for adults and £1.50 for kids is payable behind the bar, this goes towards the annual cost of approx. £12K to maintain our Greens.
Introductory sessions
If you are unsure of the rules of lawn bowls, or how to play one of our members on-site will assist you.
The Bowls Scotland website has useful information about the terms used in play, and also about competitions if you are a more experienced bowler.
Dress code
Flat-soled shoes/trainers or bowling shoes are preferred, but any trainer with no heel and as smooth a sole as possible is acceptable.
Storage lockers
We have a number of personal lockers for the storage of sports equipment, which Members may sign up for. There are usually some available for new joiners. Contact the Bowls Secretary if you are interested in taking a locker.
Competitions
The Club is affiliated with Bowls Scotland
Affiliation and sign-up for the following season’s competitions usually take place in October / November.
Bowls Secretary and Bowls Captains
The Club is run by a Management Committee elected by the Members at the Annual General Meeting in January of each year.
This Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
There is also a Bowlis Committee who also meets on a regular basis throughout the season.

The Bowling season is from the 15th of April through to the end of September.
Members and Non-Members can access our two greens at any time during these months.
Every Monday Night at 6.30 pm the club has a Mixed Wapenshaw open to members and non-members.
League & Cup matches against other Clubs take place during the week, traditionally on a Tuesday evening from 7 pm.
Wednesday afternoons our Ladies' Section plays bowls.
Saturday mornings from 10 am till noon our Junior Section plays.
We have mixed-sex qualified coaches who have Disclose Scotland PVG
All kids aged 8 to 15yrs old are welcome to come along and try bowls and enjoy a mid-morning snack.
Flat-soled shoes must be worn on the green.
For Non-Members, there is no dress code and the Club will provide bowls, mats, and jacks.
